Australian photographer Lisa Maree Williams has an extensive career covering prominent news, portraiture and cultural events around the world.

Lisa initially honed her photographic skills as a press photographer with APN News Group and cemented a love of visual story telling whilst studying a Bachelor Degree in Photography at Griffith University, Brisbane.

Currently based in Sydney, Lisa joined Getty Images in 2005 as a contract photographer, covering news, features and entertainment assignments for editorial and commercial clients. She has been a host photographer for the 2007 APEC Summit, 2008 World Youth Day, covered Australian Prime Minister’s John Howard, Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott during Federal Election Campaigns. Lisa also documented Sorry Day at Parliament House in 2008 and Prince William’s first official visit to Australia in 2010.

Lisa’s work has been published by leading titles, exhibited globally and is held in the private collections of NIDA and University of The Sunshine Coast. Among many entertainment assignments, Lisa toured North America with music duo ‘The Veronicas’ in 2008 and has photographed Fashion Weeks in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Bali.

Lisa has traveled extensively and continues to work on personal projects exploring subjects largely related to gender, environment and popular culture.
