I have been working as a photojournalist for 18 years, but Rio is my first Olympic experience.I would say that I have been waiting for this my whole professional life. It has been a privilege to cover the games for Getty Images alongside so many great photographers and I am enjoying every second.
Track cycling is essentially all about speed. It is impressive how fast these riders are. You don’t have too many chances to try something different during the competition. I work with one quick setting on my camera with slow shutter speed that allows me to create this kind of frame by pressing just one button.
This is one of my favorite shots of Nathan Hart of Australia’s cycling team practicing during a cycling track session.
Since the cyclists do so many laps around the track, it gives you the chance to try out different styles of photography.Visit Getty Images for more Olympic cycling imagery and more coverage of Rio 2016 and follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat for live Olympic updates
